]]>http://www.shaolintemplechicago.com/blog/rss-comments-entry-15501082.xmlGlennbrook South High School VisitChicago Shaolin TempleThu, 03 Mar 2011 12:38:03 +0000http://www.shaolintemplechicago.com/blog/2011/3/3/glennbrook-south-high-school-visit.html433345:4807202:10662376On February 25th, 2011, 70 high school students from Glennbrook South came to the Chicago Shaolin Temple for a field trip.  The day began with Buddhist blessings, sitting meditation, and some discussion of both Ch'an Buddhism and Shaolin History.  Following that, Masters Heng Feng, Yan Peng, and Heng Chao, along with students Sunny, Luca, and Ben put on a kung fu and qigong demonstration.  The visit finished up with the students learning the beginning of a fist form.  It was a good experience for everyone involved and was the second time that high school visited the temple.
